Find answers to common questions about NYORC, membership, and how to get involved.

NYORC membership is free and open to organizations, agencies, businesses, and individuals. Once you join, you can participate in working groups, attend events, contribute to advocacy campaigns, and connect with over 100 organizations across New York’s outdoor recreation sector.

You can join any of our five working groups — Agency, Communications, Funding, Membership, or Advocacy — by notifying the group chair. Working group members typically commit 1–3 hours per month. Join the coalition here!

NYORC is fiscally sponsored by the Open Space Institute, a 501(c)(3) organization. All donations are tax-deductible and directly support coalition coordination, capacity-building programs, and initiatives that expand equitable outdoor access across New York State.
